Nursery School

About the UMNS

The United Methodist Nursery School (UMNS) is a non-profit, non-sectarian program, founded in 1969, owned and operated by Crawford Memorial United Methodist Church. The Nursery School Program is offered to Winchester and the surrounding communities. A committee of Directors comprised of members of the church determine the policies of the Nursery School.

The Nursery School program is certified by the Office of Child Care Services of Massachusetts and is in compliance with all Health and Safety Regulations of the Town of Winchester. It is also accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs.

Our teaching staff are dedicated professionals. They are well qualified with degrees in Education, courses in Early Childhood Education and Development, and experience with young children. The teacher-child ratio is 1/7. There are two teachers and and a teacher's aide in each class.
