Special Services
Crawford Memorial United Methodist Church runs, sponsors, and participates in various special services throughout the year, including:
- Ash Wednesday - A time for prayer and reflection; ashes available from 7:00-10:00am
- Blue Christmas - A special service for those feeling down during the holidays
- Christian Education Sunday - Dedication of teachers for the coming year
- Christmas Eve - Two services and a concert:
- 7:00pm - Family Service with Children's Christmas Pageant
- 10:30pm - The Occasional Brass Quintet plays holiday selections
- 11:00pm - Midnight Service with Candlelight
- Christmas Pageant - Held at the 10:45am service the Sunday before Christmas
- Easter Eve - Preparation to get you centered for Easter morning
- Easter Morning Services and Events:
- 7:00am - Sunrise Service on Sandy's Island at the Town Common
- 9:00am - Church Breakfast
- 10:30am - The Occasional Brass Quintet plays Easter selections
- 10:45am - Easter Worship, with Choir, Brass, Timpani, and more!
- 12:00pm - Easter Egg hunt for the kids
- Good Friday - A solemn and uplifting experience
- Palm Sunday - Join in the procession of the Palms from Winchester Center
- Rally Sunday - An all age learning event followed by Sunday School signup
- Thanksgiving - An interfaith service held jointly by all churches and synogogues in Winchester
